A hotel, simply a place to sleep or rather an adventure? Luxury or culture? Innovation or tradition? When you think about a hotel, what do you picture? What do you aspire to experience at the hotel, if at all, and not just to sleep?
I ask you, what would you feel like if I told you there is a place just before the eminent Kruger Park in South Africa that is not just a hotel, but an unprecedented adventure of the African life, experienced on a high standard? A fairytale of your own story. What does that fairytale look like?
This is the Krueger Gate Hotel…
Here I sit in the gentle breeze tugged in a swaying tree swing overlooking Africa’s wealth, its nature, as the sun sets slowly. To witness the vibrant skies is dismissible, yet my vigilant eyes are split in focus as the opportunity to get a glimpse of one of the big 5 that might come, lingering around the bush on tiptoes.
A dance with monkeys, a rise in accordance with the sun rays, a magical slender through the trees on an encompassing wooden pathway enrooted and entangled amidst ancient trees breathing life.

A Dinner beneath stars, aside from a hearty firepit, as the aroma of Africa’s culinary gems floats through the air and the smiles of the local cooks are transcendently happy. Their gratitude and joy contagious everyone in their surroundings. Meals cooked wholeheartedly.
Rooms fused with an African feel, delivering a sincere African experience of a high standard.

A breathtaking and rejuvenating Safari experience, inspiring heart and soul as you become one with nature.
The cool mornings repeal your skin as nothing other than the living nature you find yourself surrounded by attracts the emotions and thoughts of your mind.
Even the kind souls of the locals as they fully form part of the hotel experience. Something I find highly important when travelling to a country. The integration and immersion of local culture, life and people. That makes me think back to the drum builder I encountered at the hotel and the many minutes we talked in extraordinary presence about the craft that lies behind shaping such a drum. Astounding.

A Kruger Park experience in a place of embrace.
I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to spend 3 nights here with my family.
I have lived it all.
Is this the end of the fairytale? That’s up to you. How about you keep on dreaming and writing your own story aside a cheeky monkey, amidst the unwavering beauty mother earth has to offer us, while you feel welcome, embraced, safe and most significantly, HOME at the Kruger Gate Hotel. Just like I did.
I am aware that the hotel has undergone some changes to illuminate its grandeur even more. My sincere wish is to experience Kruger Gate Hotel’s changes and to share its magic and the adventure it beholds with you all.
