My Story

The craft of my life?
Sculpting extraordinary travels with the mission to extract the essence of each our 195 countries.

I’m Kayleen, a 17-year-young teenage girl from Germany living in Spain since I was 3, whose passion is… what is it? Yep, you guessed it right, traveling.

To find my true self as a traveler, my purpose, and my legacy, I had to let everything else go in my life before to pursue this part of me that I did at the age of 9.

Since 2011 my roaming soul, my aspiration to get to know earth, humans, and cultures and to carve out every little bit that gives meaning to the word “essence”, has, with the passing of days, months and years, become the perpetual craft of my life.

This legacy of mine has brought me to experience 51 countries dispersed on 5 diverse continents.

What I live for. My purpose:

Traveling on a local basis in interest of one’s surroundings, experiencing and learning from countries’ essences, the long journey to personal mastery/growth, and giving all that back, which I learn from the small lessons and insights life offers us, is what I live for. serving the world with my knowledge and wealth gained from travelling is about a greater purpose than just myself.

To be able to immerse more extensively into my craft, I have developed my language capabilities to fluently speaking English, German and Spanish. In the works are: Chinese and Arabic.

Do I want to take it all the way to 195 and 7 continents? Who are kidding of course I do. And bet you what, I will.

Before we get there, though, if you’d wish to do so, take a read at the full story down below.

2011

In 2011, at the age of 5, life started bending my reality, my first big travel to Thailand, UAE, and Singapore.

I’ll tell ya, it was the most amazing time I had in my whole life. Playing with orphan kids in Khoa Lak, having fun climbing on trees eating coconut, helping in the kitchen, watching the kids studying and helping each other.

Then of course there was “The Desert Night” as I call it. We were in Dubai and had a deeply inspiring, powerful jeep ride in the desert with a compassionate guide, at night under a starlit night sky sitting on majlis in the sand in the middle of the Red Dune desert, spending time with locals, trying their foods, getting to know each other’s cultures, and looking at my first Hannah tattoo with big eyes.

Not to mention, you’ve literally got the worst camel misunderstander there is on earth. Yes, I nearly fell off the camel because you know, I thought it lowers its hind first then its front side. Oh well.

This priceless travel onto Europe’s neighbouring continent, was full of growth, insight, and unity in terms of cultures and people… encouraging and fulfilling.

4 Years Later - 2015

4 years later in the summer of 2015 we (my parents and I), chose to travel to Canada. That is when the significant life shift was introduced.

After this trip, my up to now normal life got bent around by life and shaken upside down. I grew up more and things trespassed from my unconsciousness to my conscious mind.

Oh dam! Yes, pretty much that is what it felt like.

I saw and experienced it all with a different perception. It was three months of sailing through magical places inhabited by Aborigines, whole bus days, working on boat platforms surrounded by the profound sea that immense orca whales call home and roaming through creative cities with an authentic touch of the country.

...

After Canada we took it to another level, I left school, and friends, we left behind our apartment and took off on a one-year travel (2016, age 9). Leaving with a heart full of commitment, fulfilment, gratitude and joy. I just couldn’t imagine a life without travel anymore it became a part of me, even though I had to leave everything else go and behind to pursue this part of me. This one year was once again full of education, perspective change, cultural exchange, growth, pure happiness, fulfilment.

I feel like travelling really encodes the law of giving and receiving.  Surprisingly as this one year of travelling had finished, we went back to our roots. Let’s say back to our old roots.

5 Long Months

Back home living normal life, well just for 5 months. Oh common guys, did you really think that was the end of it all? 😉 What took us 4 years a few years back now only took us 5 months. 5 months to notice there’s no way back I (we) are travelers.

Travel wasn’t something we did, it became our very Identity. We had found our path and purpose in life. So, after 5 long months, it was once again travel all year everywhere without limits with respect and an open heart.

The Treasure I Found In Times Of Hardship

As for Covid-19. It gave me perspective, made my life a bit calmer and opened up space for me to envision how I want to continue this journey and how I can share as well as use it to inspire and enrich life on Earth.

As a result, after a travel, my mother and I took in February/March I am now proud to state that I am in the revision process of my very first book. Youll have to stick around to find out which coutry it is that aspired me so profoundly to write my very first of many books.
