I, together with my mother am getting 2024 started with a country that found a profound place in my heart. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In between the months of February and March I will be visiting the Kingdom for 3 to 4 weeks.
The following days take us down into the southwest of Saudi Arabia just before the boarder of Yemen, Najran, home to a population of ancient tribes. Here profound cultural days await us as we live with a Saudi Family for a few days. I am curious if we will see traces of Yemen being so close to the boarder. Will we be hitchhiking this time too? You tell me.
Abha, Al-Baha and Taif mark the itinerary of our next week in the kingdom, moving further up north each time.
Here we roam the high mountains and immersive into what seems to be a different Saudi Arabia covered in greens, flourishing lands and everything but that what one would expect.
A journey that not only leads to a powerful heart beat in all of our hearts but to the accomplishment of a craft I have been working on for a year.
